How many users can log into the system? Are there different user types with different permissions?
You can have multiple uses per company account. Currently there are 3 types of users: clients, bookkeepers, and accountants, each with different permissions. Also a single bookkeeper or accountant can have multiple company accounts.
How does account license work? I am an Bookkeeper. If I purchase Sidomac account licence, will I be provided login id & password for me & my client separately?
Sidomac accounts are purchased per company. Each company will then be able to have separate logins for the client (ie. company owner), the bookkeeper and the accountant. As a bookkeeper or accountant, you will have multiple clients, and a single username/password will give you access to all your client companies, whereas the client will only be able to access his or her own company with their username and password.
We use Quickbooks to manage our accounts. Is it possible to use Sidomac to work with our bookkeeper?
If you have Quickbooks or any other accounting/bookkeeping package, you can still use Sidomac to exchange documents and data with your bookkeeper and accountant. You can upload your business documents in Sidomac along with your Quickbooks archive file (.qbb extension). The bookkeeper then downloads the qbb file, updates your books with information from your business documents, and uploads the new qbb file. You can now open the qbb file on your desktop to see the new reports and transactions.
How is Sidomac different from any other online accounting tool like Quickbooks online?
For effectively outsourcing your bookkeeping to a bookkeeper or accountant (whether in the same city or elsewhere) it is very important to have all your business documents closely integrated with your bookkeeping system. Sidomac ties in all business documents to transactions and bookkeeping reports which makes it easy to deliver services over the internet. It also makes the task of bookkeeping and accounting easier and efficient.
Our client uses Fujitsu S500 scanner. It bulk-scans the documents (both sides), removes any blank pages, and creates a single PDF. This PDF can then be emailed by the operator, and the software connects to Outlook easily. As a result, one PDF file contains several documents of different types. Howe can we link such a PDF file to multiple documents in Sidomac?
Our current help document does not cover advanced features; therefore I am attaching a section of the Sidomac Users Manual that pertains to your question . Hope this is satisfactory. If not please feel free to chat with us using our online support.
What type of security do you have on file backups and the security for clients to view their data remotely online?
The documents are stored on secure hosted servers. We have access level security and monitoring tools for illegal access. We do data backups regularly, and the client has the ability to download all data and back it up to their desktops at any time.
If you have any further questions, please post, and we will answer as soon as possible:
